Replacement windows? No, thanks...

Its great to see a serious article (albeit a brief one) about a serious topic: replacing your windows is NOT the answer to saving energy and money, preserving your historic windows is! Don't Buy Replacement Windows For Your Old House

Adirondack Boat House

For the renovation of this unique boat house on Lake George, our customers decided to preserve their Hope's steel windows as well as add a series of vintage windows and custom French doors to their Great Room. All of the historic windows were removed at the end of last year and brought to our shop to be refurbished. We just delivered them all back to the site and can't wait to see them installed. Fabrication of the French doors and side lights for the Great Room is now underway!

Upper West Side Penthouse

We always love stumbling across one of our past (and favorite) projects from a few years ago on an NYC Real Estate blog. To say that this apartment and these windows were neglected is an understatement. Our team rebuilt several casement windows that were altered for large AC units, refurbished all of them and even supplied a couple vintage casement windows with matching brass hardware!

Summer in the City

We recently finished up a project on West 90th St. just off Central Park and what a beautiful transformation it was. After decades of neglect, the Fenestra steel windows were brought back to life by a lot of hard work and expertise.

Star Island, Miami Beach

We just returned from a week in Miami Beach, working on one of the original estates of Star Island. This magnificent home features solid bronze casement windows and French doors, many with circle top transoms. All of the windows and doors were serviced to ensure they function correctly and all of the original lockboxes were repaired and rebuilt. After more than 80 years, these windows and doors haven't even begun to show their age.

Next up in Haverford, PA

We're looking forward to helping transform this tudor inspired home just outside Philadelphia over the winter months. We know that contractor E.B. Mahoney and Peter Zimmerman Architects are going to do a beautiful job and can't wait for these historic steel windows to be reinstalled when our work is complete!
