Seekircher Steel Window restores and refurbishes hundreds of windows a year both on-site and at our shop.  We start by removing the hardware and stripping the sash and frames of all paint, putty glazing, and glass. In cases where the original single pane or leaded glass is of particular historic or aesthetic value, we can remove the glass or work around it.  The window mechanics are assessed to ensure each window opens and closes properly, and any necessary steel work is done.  After we prime the windows, glass is installed and putty glazed by hand.  Brass and bronze hardware is cleaned and polished, and each window is given two finish coats of paint.
